Fine Arts

Northside Methodist Academy has an ever-growing art and music program.  These programs contain everything from art classes and camps to choral classes, a praise and worship class, band, and private lessons in many instruments.

The art department is administrated by Mrs. Irwin, an instructor with years of experience in the field.  Mrs. Hayes teaches  grades 1st thru 3rd and Mrs. Irwin teaches grades 4th thru 6th and High School art and helps students prepare for the Fine Arts Competition.

Dr. Choate is the band conductor.

Elementary Choir Class is instructed by Mrs. Capan, an experienced vocalist and musician. The choral program is begun at the first-grade level and is continued through sixth grade.  Mrs. Capan also directs the vocal ensembles which compete in the Fine Arts Competitions at the state level.

Worship Class for the High School is lead by Mrs. Aleah Dixon.

Each year, NMA sends a competition group to the ACEA State Fine Arts competition in Oxford, Alabama, at Trinity Christian School.  Categories include visual arts, public speaking, vocal solo and ensembles, and instrumental solo and ensembles.
