Mrs. Johnson was raised and educated in Texas. She met and married her husband, Matthew Johnson, in 1997 and together have three children. While in school, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History with a minor in English. Mrs. Johnson completed a third field of study in Juvenile Psychology from the University of Texas Permian Basin. She also completed all education certification requirements which enables her to teach Kindergarten through 8th grade in any subject and 9th-12th grade History and/or English. Mrs. Johnson also has her Master of Education Degree in School Administration and Leadership.
After graduating college, she spent eight years in finance where she was placed in a high-ranking leadership position for five years. After her time in finance and people management came to a close, she entered the classroom and has been teaching since 2008. Mrs. Johnson has been a part of the Northside Family since 2011 and is proud to be a servant of Christ to the students, families, and faculty at Northside.
Mrs. Johnson's life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all ways submit to Him and He will make your path straight." She believes we must teach students to rely on Christ in all facets of life and building a binding relationship with Him.
